Joseph Barisonzi, CEO, CommunityLeader.comMeeting called to order at 5:50 PM.
The Meeting start with introduction of Joseph Barisonzi by Valerie. Joseph Barisonzi is a Chief Executive Officer of "communityleader.com". After everyone introduced themselves, Joseph introduced the magazine entitled "Community Matters" which has 50,000 plus readers. He believes this magazine will help Riverton explore information about other community groups and disseminate its mission to other for-profit and non-profit organizations.
After the presentation, the board discussed the pros and cons of joining the Community Matters group effort:
Pros: Community Matters can help Riverton develop/connect with external organizations and the community in the future. Those resources may be helpful for Riverton in the future.
Con: It might not be the most effective way to invest $3,000 $5,000 over the next 3 years because things may change regarding our development, our connections, our interests. Maybe we can do something wiser than this with that amount of money. We could pursue others P.R. opportunities for that amount of money.
As Martha wasn't present and there wasn't a full consensus either way, Peter suggested holding to make a decision until next month's meeting.
Gary report that the financial statement for this month look better than last month and everything is OK. Financial statements are available from the office.
